There has been a somber engergy in the air this past weekend. Maybe it's the weather, or maybe the climate of this country after the inauguration, but something heavy has been looming. For me personally the antidote to any situation (especially with this heavy energy) is Jesus Christ! Church is a refueling station, a good word and a good praise refocuses the attention on the One who is in control of it all. God! He promised to give us the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. Not a garment that will cover up the heaviness, but THE garment of praise; the only thing that will drive away a heavy spirit. (Isaiah 61:3)
For my actual garments today, I decided to have fun with culottes! Of course, because I'm extra, leopard print culottes! Lol. I've literally had these things for two years and was determined to wear them today. After countless fails, I stumbled across a stripped sweater that worked perfectly.
For a bit of edge, I added a faux leather jacket, statement jewelry at the wrist and red pumps.
