Thanksgiving 2017 has come and gone and as I sit here reflecting on the past weekend, I’m just internally grateful. I’m grateful for so many things but the main thing I’m grateful for, especially in this season, is love. We here it all the time, “love is an action word”, which is very true. However, it’s so much more than that. It’s sacrifice, it’s selfless, it’s kind, it’s (insert 1Corithians 13:4-7). I’m reminded of how much God loves me through the love I’ve experienced from my family and true friends. I’m also reminded of His love, by the love I’m able to extend to others. It’s not easy and sometimes it’s painful, but in the end love ALWAYS wins. I thank God for the opportunity to love! And most importantly His love!
As we slowly enter into the cold weather, it’s fun to play with textures! Leather is an essential texture for any wardrobe, however vinyl leather is on the rise! It’s a fun way to pep up any simple look. I tried my hand with this trend with a high waisted vinyl leather skirt.
I decided to let the skirt play center stage and keep everything else simple. Pairing the piece with a white turtle neck and black booties.
