Serving: It's Water Under The Bridge

This day is almost over and the holiday weekend is fast approaching!! As I was sitting preparing to write today, a common phrase came to mind..."it's water under the bridge" (Something that happened in the past and cannot now be changed). At first I just thought I was still tired after waking up from my nap, but then I thought what an affirmation! At least in my opinion it can be viewed as one. It's a declaration to remain present; focusing on the here and now. Often times I believe we find ourselves stressed out, pissed off, overwhelmed...etc...based on what happened in the past. Or we believe that things have to occur the same way they did in the past for a situation to work out favorably either in the present or the future. Which too can be very stressful! Imagine if we used this affirmation to our benefit, not allowing our past mistakes or any situations good and bad, dictate our here and now? Or future? I know for me it would be such a liberating feeling not to be tied to my past or worrying about my future. Especially as a Christian, we have promises that literally tells us everything will be good according to God's plan for our lives, so living in moment is the best way to operate. Because we walk by faith and not by sight! Maybe I'm still tired from my nap, but it's definitely something to think about and consider.

Wraps and scarfs have been a great way to keep cool this Summer. Today I opted for a colorful printed shawl and to set the look off right, opted for my go-to mixed prints!

To complete the look, I added high waisted jeans and nude flats.

Hope you enjoy!
