We first started with the bedroom. I believe a woman's bedroom should be a place of peace and tranquility. With all of the responsibilities that we often times are plagued with day to day, our bedroom should be the one room we should look forward to seeing. For Monica's bedroom, I decided to keep things simple and chic, while still keeping things interesting. The theme was based around this beautiful picture of her:
I used very simple colors to keep with the simple and chic theme, but mixed prints to keep the room interesting to contrast the dreaded off white, apartment walls, we couldn't change! Here are the before pictures of her bedroom:
Now take a look at the completed room:
This chair and with the throw pillows kept with the simple and chic theme of the room.
Curtains will uplift any room and are an easy way to create visual interest.
I put her floor mirror over her bed to give the illusion of a bigger space. Adding some greenery in the corner and wall accents completed the look for this space.
For her living room and dining room, I reused pieces that she already had, I just arranged them differently and added different accents to create a different look. Take a gander at the before pictures of her living space:
The after pictures:
The main idea I had for Monica's living room and dinning area was to create a functional living space. Making sure that each space had specific details that contributed to the simple and chic theme that she wanted throughout her apartment. I reused a lot of the pieces she already had and created a color palate from there.
Most of the home decor items were purchased form Target, Anna's Linings, and TJ Maxx.
Hope you enjoy!
