Serving: It's Only Hard Until it's Completed

It's Monday and after coming off of a very draining week emotionally, I am optimistic that great things are in store this week! Vulnerable moment: last week I became very discouraged about certain situations and how things have been going in my life. I try to remain positive for the most part, which tends to work for me when doubt and insecurities arise. However, last week negative emotions hit me like a ton of bricks. Looking back, as frustrated as I felt for "allowing" myself to get so down on myself, I know that it was needed. Sometimes acting like nothing is wrong and faking like everything is ok, can cause more of a problem, than your actual problems. Is it fun going through the process? Absolutely NOT! However, it's necessary! I believe the appropriate way to deal with pain is allowing yourself to feel it, so it can be uprooted. While making sure that we are employing those things that will help us get through that process: God, family, friends, etc. I believe that keeping focus on the belief that every thing will work out for good, gives us something to land on when our emotions are spinning out of control. It's hard until it's completed and the process is very worth it in the end.

On to the #ootd! As difficult as it is to show up on a Monday, I was determined that this Monday I was going to make a statement. There's no other way to do that in my opinion, other than mixing prints!

Lately I have made a point to wear pieces in my closet that I haven't worn in a while. After doing some spring cleaning over the weekend, I came across a pair of jeans that I haven't worn in ages due to a broken zipper. As difficult as it is to find great fitting jeans, I broke out a pair of pliers and needle and thread and got to work. After some slight tweaking, the jeans were as good as new.

As I've said many times, leopard print is one of the easiest prints to mix with other prints. Mainly because the print itself is comprised of three neutral colors, black, brown and tan. Worn individually each color can be paired with any other print or color. So complied into a single print, leopard print is one of the simplest, yet most interesting ways to make a statement, either alone, with other colors, or with prints.

Try it out!!

Hope you enjoy!
