Serving: Church and Fashion

Taking a break to regroup and refocus is always needed. After taking my own advice, I'm back refreshed and ready to go!

Church and fashion can be somewhat of a struggle, at least for me. Reason being, you want to be appropriate yet fashionable, however not be boxed in by church societal "norms". But after thinking about it, it made me wonder if we're spending too much time focusing on something that has nothing to do with our salvation. What if we focused more on the person inside the clothes as opposed to dictating what they should and shouldn't wear to church? Yes, I believe that there's situational appropriate attire for the house of God. However, with a personal relationship with the Most High, you change on your own because YOU feel it's right. Which is far better than someone forcing you to do so out of judgement. Speaking from my own personal experience, I've grown to think about my attire for church. Do I get it right all the time...absolutely not! However, I do make some effort to be appropriate, based on my personal convictions. No one else's! So, let's see what happens if we extend grace to those still in transition.

Now for this past Sunday's look of course prints were on the agenda! In addition to texture. Texture is always a great way to adding interest to any look. If you're anyone like me you can't just stop there. Lol

This blouse was the star of the show, with its ruffled sleeves high neck, and unique pattern I couldn't just pair it with anything. So I decided to pair it with a black and white skirt.

To keep the look streamlined black pumps where my go-to.

Hope you enjoy!
