As an avid makeup lover, makeup has been another way for me to express my creativity. I thoroughly enjoy trying new products and creating multiple looks. From simple girl next door, to full on drag! One of the new segments of my blog will be product reviews, because let's admit it makeup can cost you a fortune! There are some high end brands that are definitely worth the splurge however, there are also a myriad of drug store and affordable options that can get the job done sometimes even better. 

Liquid lipsticks have taken the makeup industry by storm. With a vast range of colors and different formulas, many brands have become hip to the trend. Me personally I do not like the typical liquid lip because of the dryness it causes your lips. I have naturally dry lips so traditional lipsticks work better for me. 

 

Maybelline recently launched their version of the liquid lipstick trend. The vivid matte liquid lips come in numerous colors, that you may not usually find in usual lipsticks. I decided to try a not so traditional color. For some reason I'm drawn to deeper and darker shades, however after swatching some of them, I landed on this deep gray tone. 

 

Gray lips can be difficult to pull off. To keep from looking like a corpse, I decided to do warm tones in the eyes and on the cheeks. The color pay off was fair, I definitely had to build the color for optimum pigmentation. The formula doesn't dry matte and will definitely transfer. You will have to reapply throughout the day. I think for $6.99 it is definitely a win! Try it out.
