Serving: Church Style, Handling your "Drain"

Even in our most draining moments it's very important that we allow room for them. There's always going to be things that happen in our lives that we just don't understand. In those moments we first have to be honest with ourselves that there is something draining us. Then we have to give ourselves room to feel the sadness, feel the pain, feel the stings of people trying to hurt us; whether it's overtly or behind the screen of an iPhone. Whatever it is, who it is, or where it's coming from, it's ok not to be ok. However, there has to then be a decision made afterwards, where that thing draining you has to end. You have to decide that it'll no longer consume you. Steps have to be taken to move to a place of healing, you have to position yourself to be healed. (Reference the woman with the issue of blood). Being active in your healing requires work. Going to the doctor, therapy, gym, whatever it takes, it requires some effort from us and God will show up and do the rest. He always shows up on time to give us what we need before we even knew we even needed it. But it requires effort. Nothing changes if nothing changes. Trust me, I'm a firm believer it works!

Now on to this look, retail therapy is a great way of coping with a bad day. That's how I stumbled across this dress. The print and the cut was very flattering. So I popped on a bright pink lip, some black pumps add in a printed blazer and my look was complete.

Mixing prints can be a disaster if not done properly. One print should be significantly smaller than the other print to keep you from looking like a crazy person. Black and white prints are the best to mix and match. There's always cohesion because of the color scheme and that is very important to achieve with any look, especially when it comes to mixing prints.

Hope you enjoy!
