Serving: Stripes on Stripes (Summertime Rewind)

My three favorite prints to mix and have fun with are, leopard print, polka dots, and stripes. However, there is something about the simplicity of stripes that always seems to draw people's attention. For this look I decided to do stripes on stripes. As cool as I think these pictures came out, it took me so long to get these shots. I usually try to be creative in the places I take my photos, but this spot was probably the most difficult to work with. I remember the lighting was great this day, however jumping in a drain/ditch may have not been the smartest move. But one must do what she has to, to get the photo that she needs. Take a look at how I achieved this look:

The key with mixing the same patterns, is to make sure there is some difference between the two prints. In this case, the stripes going in different directions made it easier to pull off this look. Of course I had to add interest to my outfit, so I decided to add a wide brim hat and flat sandals to complete the look.

Hope you enjoy!
