Waiters Serves: Houndstooth and Stripes

I'm an avid lover of prints, and I especially love mixing prints, long before it became a trend. Mixing trends can be a recipe for disaster if it is not done properly. The key to pulling this look off is to make sure the colors are in the same family, neutrals usually work best. Also, make sure the patterns aren't competing with each other. One pattern should be significantly smaller or "simpler" than the other. Take a gander at this look :

I paired this striped turtleneck sweater with these houndstooth pants. I love the details of this sweater, it's simple yet edgy at the same time. 

Slouchy booties completed this look.
